Iran to meet Iraq in 2022 World Sitting Volleyball Championships opener
TEHRAN – Iran’s men’s team will play Iraq in the 2022 World Sitting Volleyball Championships opening match.
Team Melli are drawn along Iraq, Kazakhstan and Croatia in Pool B.
The world’s most-decorated sitting volleyball team are determined to win the title for the eighth time.
The men’s and women’s teams will be competing for the world titles in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina from Nov. 4 to 11.
Hadi Rezaei’s team will play Iraq on Nov. 4.
Bosnia and Herzegovina, the U.S., Japan and Serbia are in Pool A.
Pool C consists of Brazil, Germany, Canada and Poland.
Egypt, Ukraine, Rwanda and the Netherlands are in Pool D.
The top two teams will qualify for the 2024 Paralympic Games.
Iran’s women’s team are drawn in Pool B along with ranked 1 the U.S., Slovenia and Canada.
